Art For Japan

Dear Friends

Ours hearts have been in Japan these past three weeks during this difficult time. Moved by some of you asking how to help, we have decided to raffle off a dancing lady at $20 per ticket to raise money for the relief effort. If 300 tickets are sold, that's $6000!

Amongst us all we have the potential to raise a significant amount of money to help care for the people of Japan.

Your contribution will go directly to Yodogawa Christian Hospital (YCH) in Osaka, Japan to help with medical relief efforts. My father was the founder of the hospital in 1955 and superintendent for 20 years. YCH is part of my family. One of my early memories was of the hospital mobilizing to go north to help in relief efforts after a typhoon that caused serious flooding. I stay in touch with many involved in this progressive hospital. Days after the earthquake, YCH sent a team of medical people to meet with Takeda General Hospital in Fukushima, a partner hospital in the disaster area, to determine their specific needs.

You can buy one ticket (only $20) or as many as you wish. 100% of your contribution will be sent to YCH.

Please make check payable to:

Joy Brown (Art for Japan)
and send to:

Check must be received by midnight on April 20th. Then we will put your name in a hat (as many times as the number of tickets you buy) and pull a name out to determine who will win the dancing lady.

The dancing lady will be shipped to the winner, anywhere in the world free of charge.

Here's the announcement of the winner!
