This other one I must have carved in 6th grade. I think it reflects some of my Yugoslavian characteristics - angular facial features with a stern hardworking feeling.

During college, I made a lot of coil built vessels and abstract organic forms. When there got to be too many I'd sort through and throw some away. My dad, who hated to throw them away, would dig them out of the garbage and "plant" them around the bushes in the yard. One time while he was going through the garbage the garbage man came by and asked him if he could have one!
